Replace rotted
core in engine hatch
And replace
gelcoat along with
the non-skid
This was an
engine hatch that the plywood core was rotted. It had multiple problems after getting
into the core. As you can see there was rot but, it had also been previously
repaired and a seam in the core wood was running right thru the middle of the
panel. This severely weakened the stiffness of the panel. The wood itself
became rotted because there were so many screw holes in it that were not
sealed.
