Install fiberglass bow pulpit, railing, windlass, and remote control spotlight on a 35 Chris Craft Commander.

This picture shows the original configuration of the bow area as it came from the factory.

This was a very nice project. The instillation was not that difficult but was very time consuming. This is a solid fiberglass pulpit. The owner will never have to worry about the core rotting out. The top deck of the boat is balsa cored. All of the holes that were made for installation where drilled oversize and filled with an epoxy filler to seal the core and then drilled again normal size for the installation. Anyone not using this procedure is taking a very serious risk of core damage even if you use some type of silicone sealant. Under the backside of the pulpit is plasteak poly-board to fill the gap from the height of the edges. This material will never rot or soften, which can loosen the pulpit over time. The installation of the anchor windlass, searchlight, and cleats where normal. The railing had to be modified to convert the old 1 1/16 inch tubing used by Chris Craft, to the closest available of 1 inch. This was the only real drawback to the project. If you would like a custom pulpit for your boat let us know and we would be happy to discuss options with you.
