faired out and the transom was gel coated. |
The engine box core was discoveredto be rotted
and needed replaced. |

The rot continued into both stringers and the bulkhead forward of the Engine. The core in the floor section that was removed was also replaced. |
The brand new Mercruiser 5.7L fuel Injected engine that was installed after removal of the
original 4 cylinder. |
This
was a long project for the owner and us. It was one of those situations where
things continued to snowball. It started out by only wanting to change the
power plant. The transom was then found to be rotted, then the engine box, and
the stringers, then the floor, and bulkhead, etc. Overall when the project was completed I had a big grin on
my face during sea trials and the owner had white knuckles.
